How are applications submitted?
Applications must be submitted online through the Center for Scholarship Administration (CSA) website. There are three steps to complete the application:
1. Click the "create application" button below to answer the prequalifying questions. When you submit these, it will automatically take you to the profile page.
2. Create or update your profile. Save and continue to the online application.
3. Complete the online application. A confirmation email will be sent when the online portion of your application is complete. Applicant should contact CSA if a confirmation email is not received.
4. Mail in, or email, the packet of additional required materials. See "What constitutes a complete application" below.

- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Applicants must attend a college or university which receives its principal funding directly from the State of Colorado.
- Applicants must pursue a bachelor's degree in the fields of Geology, Engineering, or Physics.
- Applicants must attend at least half-time.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

When is the deadline for submission of materials?
The online application must be completed and transmitted to CSA no later than . Any required supplemental materials that need to be mailed must be mailed to CSA no later than and should be mailed in one package.

What constitutes a complete application packet?
A complete application package includes the following:
• Student Authorization and Acknowledgements Form, found in the online application, signed by the scholarship candidate. Download the Student Authorization and Acknowledgements Form.
Submit the completed and signed Certification, Authorizations, and Signature Form
Submit the completed and signed Consent to Electronic Disclosures Form
Submit the completed and signed Private Education Loan Applicant Self-Certification Form
Submit the completed and signed Certification of Eligibility Form
• W8 or W9 IRS Form, as applicable. This form must be completed by the applicant.
- What is the value of the student loan?
The number of recipients and the amount of each student loan may vary from year to year due to fluctuations in the Fund`s value and/or applicable document restrictions. The maximum loan amount is $8,000. Subject to the trust terms, the awards will be applied to the cost of tuition, fees, books or room and board.
- What schools can a recipient attend?
The recipients must attend a college or university which receives its principal funding from the State of Colorado.
Recipients may be half-time or full-time each semester and working toward a bachelor's degree in the fields of Geology, Engineering, or Physics. -
How are winners selected?
An Awards Advisory Committee will consider the financial need of each applicant.

How will I be notified if I am chosen as a recipient?
All applicants will be notified in writing by email, whether or not they have been selected to receive a scholarship. Those students selected will download a package from their online account that includes a scholarship agreement and information about the scholarship terms.
